\nAuthorities are investigating a crash involving an ambulance at South First Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard just before 5 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
\nAuthorities are investigating a crash involving an ambulance at South First Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard just before 5 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
In their preliminary investigation, Louisville Metro Police Department said a Metro EMS marked unit was running lights and sirens as it was taking a patient southbound on South First Street. As the ambulance entered the intersection at Muhammad Ali Boulevard, it collided with another vehicle.<\/p>\n
The impact of the crash caused the ambulance to hit the side of the J. Graham Brown School. The vehicle struck was a short distance on South First Street from the initial crash impact.<\/p>\n
The EMS had two crew members and a patient on board. One of the crew members and patient were transferred to another ambulance and they were taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
An adult on the sidewalk and a person inside of the other vehicle had non-life threatening injuries. They were also taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n
There were no other injuries reported, or vehicles involved in the crash.<\/p>\n
LMPD\u2019s First Division will handle the investigation.
