According to the arrest citation, an officer was checking on an abandoned car Thursday afternoon when they noticed a path leading under the bridge near Highway 185 and Old Richardsville Road.<\/p>\n
James Bledsoe was found under the bridge with another man dragging a long telephone wire.<\/p>\n
When an officer told Bledsoe to stop, he tried to walk away, and an officer used a taser to stop him.<\/p>\n
Bledsoe told police he planned to strip the wire for copper.<\/p>\n
An AT&T worker estimated the damage and repair costs to be over $1,000, according to court records.<\/p>\n
Bledsoe is facing several charges including trespassing on key infrastructure, criminal mischief, possessing burglary tools, fleeing from police and theft.<\/p>\n
He is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $6,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 29.
