According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, officers responded to a call at around 5:20 p.m. of a single vehicle accident in the 2000 block of South Third Street on UofL\u2019s campus on Saturday, November 1.<\/p>\n
Initial investigations revealed that a car was driving southbound on Third Street when it experienced a mechanical issue.<\/p>\n
Both the driver and the passenger of the car jumped out of the vehicle. The car continued to move, and the passenger somehow got pinned between it and a tree.<\/p>\n
EMS took the passenger, a female teenager whose age is unknown, to UofL Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n
The driver did not suffer any major injuries.<\/p>\n
No other vehicle was involved in the incident.<\/p>\n
LMPD\u2019s Traffic Unit is leading the investigation.
