Norton says their Kentucky Poison Center gets calls related to decorations every year.<\/p>\n
One of their biggest concerns is plants like holly, mistletoe, and Jerusalem Cherry, which all have toxic berries that can fall to the floor.<\/p>\n
They say some snow globes contain antifreeze, which can be dangerous if they break, while older ornaments and bubble lights can carry chemicals like lead or mercury.<\/p>\n
Norton says one of the best things you can do is keep your eye on your children whenever you introduce anything new to the home.<\/p>\n
Experts say that if a child ingests something, don\u2019t try and get them to throw up; just call the Kentucky Poison Center.
