At 10 p.m. on Friday (12\/05), the Hodgenville Police Department was looking for a suspected impaired driver, who later was identified as 39 year-old William Close of Elizabethtown.<\/p>\n
The next day, Close reported his vehicle was stolen.<\/p>\n
He was then arrested and charged for falsely reporting an incident, running from the scene, 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment and several traffic charges.<\/p>\n
On Sunday (12\/07), police were able to find property Close removed from his vehicle, which he attempted to hide at the time.<\/p>\n
Close was then charged with Possession Control Substance 1st methamphetamine, 2nd offense; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia; tampering with physical evidence and various traffic violations. He was lodged in the Larue County Detention Center without bond.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was recovered by the Nelson County Sheriff\u2019s Office on Saturday (12\/06).
