Brandon Damar Lewis, 39, of Louisville, is charged with one count each of arson and wanton endangerment.<\/p>\n
An arrest citation by the Louisville Metro Arson Bureau says the fire happened around 2:15 a.m., December 14, in the 4400 block of Norene Lane.<\/p>\n
Investigators say Lewis intentionally set fire to clothing, rags and an artificial tree inside the occupied building. The fire caused about $75,000 in damage.<\/p>\n
Arson investigators say the actions of Lewis \u201ccaused an extreme indifference to human life.\u201d<\/p>\n
During his December 15 arraignment, bond for Lewis was set at $250,000 cash and a public defender was appointed to represent him.<\/p>\n
Lewis will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on December 23.
