Louisville Metro Police contacted the U.S. Marshals about the location of a missing 13-year-old girl and a wanted individual, 37 year-old Michael Dunn. Both are from Louisville.<\/p>\n
The child had been reported missing on January 4 and was believed to be with Dunn who is a non-custodial adult.<\/p>\n
Dunn was wanted for multiple warrants stemming back to June 2025 for Escape – 2nd Degree, Tampering with a Prisoner Monitoring Device, Probation Violations on Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Handgun By a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dunn was believed to be armed and trafficking narcotics.<\/p>\n
U.S. Marshals received a tip that the pair were walking southbound on the 3100 block of US-25E in Barbourville, Kentucky.<\/p>\n
The two were confronted and Dunn was taken into custody without incident. The 13-year-old was also taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Two handguns, marijuana, methamphetamine, and other drug paraphernalia were recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n
Dunn was taken to Knox County Detention Center on his warrants. Other charges are pending.
