Corionte Fant was found guilty of complicity to murder and complicity to wanton endangerment.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors said on May 3, 2023, Fant and another person, who has been arrested but not yet put on trial, shot Jo\u2019Cori Harris Jr. multiple times, killing him. Eye-witness testimonies, shell casings from the scene linked to Fant\u2019s gun and video surveillance of the defendants discussing their plans in the minutes before the shooting were reportedly all shown during the trial.<\/p>\n
The jury recommended Fant serve 25 years for complicity to murder and five years for complicity to wanton endangerment concurrently. The judge will give Fant an official sentence on March 4.<\/p>\n
Jo\u2019Cori Harris Sr., the victim\u2019s father, is the other accused shooter in this case. He is expected back in court on February 5.
