\nNew aerial video shows Louisville Metro Police used drones to help officers arrest two people in a reportedly stolen car.<\/p>\n
In a video posted to social media Tuesday, on February 17, detectives with LMPD\u2019s Criminal Interdiction Division (CID) found the two individuals driving the car near downtown Louisville.<\/p>\n
Louisville Metro Police Department said the department\u2019s SWAT team and members of the Drone First Responder (DFR) program quickly assembled to follow the car. <\/p>\n
Police briefly shutdown a portion of I-65 South so officers could deploy a \u201cGrappler device\u201d to bring the car to a controlled stop.<\/p>\n
Once the car came to a stop, both suspects got out and tried to flee.<\/p>\n
Police said one of the suspects was immediately arrested and a drone followed the other, who was arrested a short time later.<\/p>\n
Two guns were found as well, and police said both suspects had prior felony convictions.
