According to Indiana State Police, troopers attempted a traffic stop at around 8:15 p.m. on a black 2015 Chrysler 200 near the 3.4-mile marker on northbound I-65 in Clarksville.<\/p>\n
The driver of the Chrysler is said to have refused to stop and accelerated away for about half a mile before crashing into a gold 2003 Ford Crown Victoria.<\/p>\n
Initial investigations suggest that after the collision, one of the involved vehicles hit the side of the Indiana State Police cruiser, causing it to overturn onto its side.<\/p>\n
Indiana State Police said an unidentified person exited the Chrysler and fled on foot.<\/p>\n
The Indiana State Police officer exited his cruiser and detained the suspected driver of the Chrysler, 22-year-old Lamyaa Johnson from Louisville.<\/p>\n
Two children from the Ford were taken to Norton Children\u2019s Hospital in Louisville as a precaution. The driver of the Crown Victoria was taken to UofL Hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
Both the Trooper and Johnson were taken to Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, also with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
After being released from the hospital, Johnson was taken to the Clark County Jail and is being charged with:<\/p>\n
Resisting Law Enforcement With a Vehicle, Resulting in Bodily Injury
\nReckless Driving
\nObstruction of Justice
\nAssisting a Criminal
\nAggressive Driving<\/p>\n
