\nA Louisville man faces at least 35 years in prison after a federal jury convicted him on nine child exploitation charges last week.<\/p>\n
According to a news release Thursday from the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Western District of Kentucky, 35 year-old Quinnton Dawson recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with a 4-year-old girl. Investigators said he also used his email account to seek out and exchange child sexual abuse material.<\/p>\n
The investigation was conducted by the FBI\u2019s Louisville Field Office and the Louisville Metro Police Department.<\/p>\n
Dawson faces at least 35 years in prison. A jury returned the guilty verdict on March 5 after the weeklong trial.<\/p>\n
These charges came after Dawson was given shock probation in the Jefferson Circuit Court after being previously convicted of possessing and distributing child pornography. He was also convicted of second-degree robbery.<\/p>\n
Dawson is scheduled for sentencing June 11.
