On Tuesday, a tip was called in stating that Dedrick Beck was seen with Cayla Brown.<\/p>\n
Beck was wanted for seven outstanding felony warrants. Agents with the South-Central Kentucky Drug Task Force conducted surveillance at Brown\u2019s residence and attempted to contact her.<\/p>\n
A short time later, her vehicle was seen leaving the residence. Drug Task Force officers were able to follow the vehicle while giving out the location for Simpson County Deputies to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Once the vehicle turned onto Stevenson Road, deputies stated they were at Stevenson Road and Bowling Green Road waiting for the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Before the vehicle reached the deputies, it was located wrecked in the 1600 block of Stevenson Road. The driver, Beck and the passenger, Brown were taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n
During an interview, Brown revealed that she was aware of Beck\u2019s wanted status and was helping him elude arrest. It was learned that Beck had provided marijuana to Brown.<\/p>\n
During the investigation, law enforcement discovered that narcotics were in a shed at Brown\u2019s residence. A search warrant was executed and suspected marijuana and cocaine were located.<\/p>\n
Later that night, jail deputies located an unknown substance in Beck\u2019s wallet. Both were arrested and facing charges.<\/p>\n
Brown was charged with<\/p>\n
Hindering Prosecution or apprehension-2nd degree
\nPossession of marijuana
\nDrug Paraphernalia
\nPossession controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense cocaine<\/p>\n
Beck was charged with:<\/p>\n
Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree
\nFailure to wear seat belt
\nPossession controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified)
\nDrug paraphernalia
\nTrafficking in marijuana
\nPossession of open alcohol container
\nReckless driving
\nThere were also seven outstanding felony warrants that were served on Beck.
