\nThe Kentucky State Police Post 4 responded to a call fatal collision on Bypass Road near High Street in Meade County around 3:30 p.m. Friday (05\/29).<\/p>\n
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2017 Subaru WRX, operated by 34 year-old Dustin Farmer of Central, Indiana, was traveling north on Bypass Road when it crossed into the center turn lane and into the path of a 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck being operated by 25 year-old Maia Fisher of Mansfield, Missouri. The two vehicles collided in a head on manner.<\/p>\n
Dustin Farmer was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Meade County Coroner. Maia Fisher sustained serious injuries and was flown to University of Louisville Hospital. Two juvenile passengers in the Subaru passenger car were also seriously injured and were taken to Norton Children’s Hospital and University of Louisville Hospital. <\/p>\n
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, Brandenburg Police Department, Meade County EMS, Meade County Coroner’s Office and Meade County Fire Department.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
