They also approved a 2.7 percent salary increase for all county employees. Magistrates heard and approved the first and second reading of several rezoning requests from the Planning and Zoning Commission. The court revisited and approved a resolution setting guidelines and fees for mobile vendors in county parks. The measure was tabled during the May meeting to allow an additional section to waive fees for fundraising and charitable events at the county&#8217;s discretion.<\/p>\n<p>Fiscal Court heard an update from Michelle Kail, Executive Director of CASA of the Heartland, on the efforts in the past year related to court appointed special advocates for abused, neglected, or dependent children. Kail reported the organization invested $93,324 to serve 44 children with 24 children being new to the program. They had 18 new volunteers and provided $2,121 per child. She went to report so far in 2026,  35 children has already been served in Meade County. They also approved adding to two stop signs at the intersection in Rolling Acres subdivision to help reduce speeders to who cut through the neighborhood. The court approved setting the speed limit along Doe Valley Parkway as 25 mph. <\/p>\n<p>Magistrates met in a closed session to discuss pending litigation for about an hour. They returned to approve entering into a retention agreement with Frost Brown and Todd.
