\nMembers of the Brandenburg City Council met during a special called meeting Thursday (6\/11) afternoon to hear the second reading of ordinances pertaining the upcoming 2026-27 budget year.<\/p>\n

Council members reviewed a list of items to be determined as surplus property owned by the city that will placed in an upcoming auction with Barr Reality. After review, the council approved the items as surplus property.<\/p>\n

The council heard the second reading of ordinances related to amending the percentages and rates of the ABC ordinance; amending the current fiscal year budget; adopting the upcoming 2026-27 Fiscal year budget; and setting the water and sewer rates for the 206-27 fiscal year with a 2 percent increase.<\/p>\n

Some discussion centered around the ABC rate amendment and several items related to the breakdown of the funds per department. No major issues were brought forth from the council. The council approved each of the ordinances unanimously. <\/p>\n
