The fire was reported around 4:58 p.m. June 24 at 3904 Accomack Drive, Apartment 5. Investigators say Beeler set a fire inside an occupied apartment, causing an estimated $20,000 in damage.<\/p>\n
According to the citation, the victim, described as Beeler\u2019s domestic partner, had just told her to leave. The report says Beeler then threatened to burn the apartment down, and not long after, the victim noticed smoke and flames coming from the area where she was last seen.<\/p>\n
The building has five apartments, and officials said seven people were inside at the time. The victim tried to put the fire out, but firefighters were called in to put it out. Police later found Beeler a short distance away.<\/p>\n
Beeler is charged with first-degree arson, first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief. She is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. The case is expected to be handled in Jefferson District Court.
