Deborah Francis, 56, is being held on manslaughter charges in Fayette County Detention Center in connection to the death of seven-year-old Ja\u2019Ceon Terry in July 2022.<\/p>\n
Francis was indicted alongside Jillian Parks and Amanda Whitlow on July 15.<\/p>\n
Terry had lived within the Bellewood and Brooklawn foster care facility in Bashford Manor. After his death, which the coroner said was from \u201cpositional asphyxia\u201d and ruled a homicide, the facility released a statement saying two staff members who were involved had been fired.<\/p>\n
The state later ordered all children to be removed.
