According to MetroSafe, Anchorage Middletown Fire and EMS crews responded to a call at around 12:45 p.m. of a person in the water at Long Run Park on Wednesday, July 29.<\/p>\n
The park is located about three miles north of Shelbyville Road.<\/p>\n
Louisville Fire confirmed that one individual went under in the lake and that a bystander tried to swim out and rescue them unsuccessfully.<\/p>\n
The LMPD Dive Team recovered the body of an adult man from the lake at around 7:45 p.m., and a death investigation is being conducted by LMPD\u2019s Homicide Unit.<\/p>\n
Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances around the death.
