\nA man wanted for attempted murder and kidnapping was arrested after the U.S. Marshals Service said he was hiding out in Louisville.<\/p>\n
Tyler Mack, 32, was arrested on Monday, August 3, as part of a joint operation between U.S. Marshals Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.<\/p>\n
U.S. Marshals tracked Mack\u2019s movements and conducted a take down operation after positively identifying him in an area of interest through an extensive fugitive investigation, according to the Marshals Service.<\/p>\n
Mack was wanted on multiple warrants after police say he and 25 year-old Ariana Meriwether forced their way into a Madison County home on May 23, 2026.<\/p>\n
Mack allegedly took the homeowner\u2019s adult children upstairs at gunpoint, hitting one of them in the head with a pistol and making one of them wait in the closet \u201cunder threat of death,\u201d according to court documents.<\/p>\n
Court documents allege that Mack fired six rounds at someone attempting to flee the scene and struck their right arm.<\/p>\n
Meriwether turned herself in in June 2, 2026, and was charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery, burglary, assault and kidnapping.<\/p>\n
Mack was charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary, first-degree attempted robbery and kidnapping in connection with the May 23 incident, and was later charged with felon in possession of a firearm in relation to a separate incident on July 24, 2026.<\/p>\n
On July 24, Lexington police were notified that Mack was residing at a house in Lexington and that he had a firearm.<\/p>\n
According to Lexington police, Mack had left the house before police could execute a search warrant. Officers allegedly found a firearm and suspected fentanyl after searching the home, as well as a Cash App Visa debit card with Mack\u2019s name and a paper check made out to Mack.
