In January 2019, Brandon M. Wood pleaded guilty in federal court to charges of sexually enticing a minor and received a five-year sentence in federal prison. Wood was also convicted of child sex abuse charges in state court. He was released from federal prison in February 2023. His state and federal sentences ran consecutively.<\/p>\n
The guilty plea required Wood to register with the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Court documents say Wood was not compliant with the terms outlined in the registry.<\/p>\n
Court documents say Wood had failed to provide Kentucky Probation and Parole with an updated photo and had not been in compliance since February 2023.<\/p>\n
Wood, now 40, was arrested August 11, 2026, for failure to comply with the terms of the registry and booked into Louisville Metro Corrections. During his arraignment the next day, a partially secured bond was set at $10,000, meaning he could be released by posting just 10% of the $10,000.<\/p>\n
He is scheduled to be back in court for a preliminary hearing on September 1.
