According to a preliminary investigation, 63-year-old Danny Winchester was driving a John Deere 2750 tractor north on Louisville Road when the tractor\u2019s front end suffered a mechanical failure. The failure caused the tractor to veer into oncoming traffic, striking the rear quarter panel of a Chevrolet Suburban driven by 69-year-old Samuel Cassidy.<\/p>\n
Cassidy\u2019s wife, 56-year-old Laura Cassidy, was riding in the passenger seat at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n
The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway. The tractor left the left shoulder and rolled onto its side, while the Suburban exited the right shoulder and came to rest in a ditch.<\/p>\n
Samuel and Laura Cassidy were taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
Winchester was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
The extent of the injuries have not been released.
