\nA Louisville man was arrested in Evansville, Indiana on Saturday after police say he fraudulently used a victim\u2019s credit cards to purchase multiple gift cards.<\/p>\n

On Saturday afternoon, police responded to the east side Walmart to investigate a suspicious situation.<\/p>\n
At the store, loss prevention officials told officers that a man, later identified as 61-year-old Christopher Kitrell, had attempted to use multiple bank cards to purchase gift cards.<\/p>\n
Kitrell reportedly left the store after successfully buying one $400 gift card using a Bank of America card, which authorities discovered belonged to a woman.<\/p>\n
Near the scene, police found a wallet that had been thrown away in a trash can. They say the wallet contained insurance cards and a driver\u2019s license belonging to the victim.<\/p>\n
Authorities say Kitrell went to a nearby Home Depot next, where he used a Chase Bank card belonging to the same victim to purchase three $200 gift cards.<\/p>\n
After leaving that store, police pulled Kitrell over. They say his Kentucky driver\u2019s license status showed up as \u201crevoked\u201d and that his vehicle didn\u2019t have a license plate on it.<\/p>\n
Police say they found the vehicle\u2019s license plate inside the trunk. They say they also found $1,000 worth of gift cards inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Kitrell was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail. He is charged with fraud and several driving-related offenses.
