Rosemary Cundiff, 37, was sentenced Monday in Jefferson Circuit Court. She entered a guilty plea in July.<\/p>\n
Judge Ann Bailey Smith sentenced Cundiff to five years for second-degree manslaughter and five years for first-degree wanton endangerment, ordered to run consecutively for a total of 10 years to serve, according to court documents.<\/p>\n
Under the plea agreement, Cundiff agreed to not ask for probation.<\/p>\n
The charges stem from an August 11, 2023, crash on St. Andrews Church Road. The preliminary investigation indicated Cundiff’s vehicle crossed over the centerline and hit a van, killing 67-year-old Ibro Durmic, according to Louisville Metro Police Department.<\/p>\n
Cundiff was first indicted on charges of murder, vehicular homicide while under the influence, and first-degree wanton endangerment before reaching the plea agreement to amend the homicide charge, according to court documents.
