Once in the tub, Swan allegedly struck, kicked and attempted to strangle her.<\/p>\n<p>According to the arrest citation, the altercation continued until about 5 a.m., during which Swan confiscated the woman\u2019s phone, accused her of trying to set him up with \u201cthe ops,\u201d and brandished a handgun to hold her at gunpoint to prevent her from escaping.<\/p>\n<p>When Swan left the apartment, the woman called police and reported that she had scratches across her neck, face and arms, as well as nausea and head pain.<\/p>\n<p>While officers assisted the woman in obtaining an emergency protective order, she alerted police that Swan had returned and parked outside the apartment building.<\/p>\n<p>When an officer approached his vehicle with emergency lights activated and ordered him to exit, Swan reversed, accelerated and fled northbound on South First Street, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Officers pursued Swan\u2019s vehicle as it accelerated at a high speed, ran traffic signals and drove into oncoming traffic before officers lost sight of the car.<\/p>\n<p>Police later found the vehicle abandoned on South Brook Street with the victim\u2019s apartment keys inside.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities noted Swan did not have a valid driver\u2019s license, the vehicle lacked license plates, and Swan was a convicted felon legally barred from possessing firearms.<\/p>\n<p>Swan faces 10 charges:<br \/>\nTwo counts of first-degree wanton endangerment<br \/>\nFirst-degree strangulation (domestic violence-related)<br \/>\nFourth-degree assault (domestic violence with minor injury)<br \/>\nSecond-degree unlawful imprisonment<br \/>\nIntimidating a participant in the legal process<br \/>\nPossession of a handgun by a convicted felon<br \/>\nFirst-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle)<br \/>\nThird-degree terroristic threatening<br \/>\nReckless driving<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors asked for an increase in his $75,000 bond.
