row inmate died in custody exactly 29 years after being sentenced to death in relation to a fatal stabbing and sexual assault in Hazard, according to a news report.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The inmate, 59-year-old Donald Johnson, died October 1 inside the only maximum security prison in the state, the Kentucky State Penitentiary.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson\u2019s death was confirmed October 5 by the Department of Corrections, who said the cause of death \u201cdoes not appear to be involved in any criminal activity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Lyon County Coroner would not release the cause and manner of
