The Meade County Sheriffs Department responded to a two vehicle injury accident on Saturday (5\/28) just after 5 pm in the 3100 block of Payneville Road. The Payneville and Meade County Fire Departments worked to free a person trapped in one of the vehicles. Two people were treated at the scene by Meade County EMS and then airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for their injuries by Air Methods Air Ambulance. Traffic was delayed a couple of hours as crews cleaned up the scene.<\/p>\n
A second accident happened just before 1 am Sunday (5\/29) in the 1400 block of Midway Road near Midway. A operator of a motorcycle was traveling west and lost control his bike in a curve and was ejected from the motorcycle. The operator, 38 year-old Bobby Montgomery of Payneville was taken to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana By Meade County EMS, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Ekron Fire Department assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n
A third accident happened Monday (5\/30) just after 3 am on Kentucky 1638. One person was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown by Meade County EMS for injuries suffered in a single vehicle accident on Otter Creek Hill. The Meade County Fire Department assisted at the scene. All of the accidents remain under investigation by the Meade County Sheriff’s Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
