The U.S. attorney’s office says 41-year-old Michael Howard pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and morphine that resulted in death. The plea came Wednesday in federal court in Covington.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor’s office says Howard admitted regularly selling heroin to co-defendant Kimberly Mullins during a four-month period in 2015, knowing Mullins could arrange to get the drugs to Jamie Green, who was in jail. Green was Mullins’ 25-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor’s office said in a news release Howard also admitted supplying what he thought was heroin but actually contained fentanyl, a more powerful opiate, and morphine. Green took the drugs September 5 and died of an overdose in the Kenton County jail.<\/p>\n
Mullins pleaded guilty earlier this year.
