Early Tuesday morning (6\/21), relocation of power lines over I-65 near the KY 1136 bridge in Hardin County will require blocking all lanes of the interstate from 3 a.m. until approximately 3:30 a.m.EDT. This utility work is necessary to accommodate the I-65 widening project.<\/p>\n
Both directions of travel will be required to exit and re-enter the interstate using Exits 81 and 86, using US 31W as a north\/south detour route. Kentucky State Police will be conducting traffic control and Scotty\u2019s Contracting will be placing additional signage through the area.<\/p>\n
This utility relocation is being conducted overnight, during lower volume times through the I-65 corridor in order to minimize impacts to traffic and reduce safety risks.<\/p>\n
If weather prohibits work early Tuesday, the alternate date will be the next day (Wednesday, June 22nd) at the same time.<\/p>\n
Commercial motor carriers comprise the majority of traffic on this section of the interstate during the scheduled time. While the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Kentucky State Police and Scotty\u2019s Contracting will make every effort to disseminate this information using all available resources, commercial carriers are encouraged to share these details with each other.<\/p>\n
