He said employees noticed smoke in the kitchen area apparently entering through the air conditioning vents.<\/p>\n<p>Lee said firefighters determined a cigarette smoldering in a mulch bed eventually caused a flame that ignited the building\u2019s stucco exterior and burned the foam insulation.<\/p>\n<p>The fire call was issued at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday. Lee said flames were extinguished within 30 minutes.
