Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said around 4:30 p.m. Friday a man entered the Old National Bank in the 4200 block of Shelbyville Road, displayed a weapon and demanded money from the teller. The teller complied and the man left of foot, but he was caught by a police shortly after.<\/p>\n
Two other suspects, who Mitchell said appeared to be waiting for the man who robbed the bank, were spotted by police. The suspects drove off and led police on a chase that came to an end in a neighborhood near the intersection of Tartan Lane and Fordyce Lane around 4:50 p.m.<\/p>\n
The suspects ditched their vehicle in the backyard of a residence then took off on foot. At least one of the suspects was located in the 3000 block of Dundee Road at Atherton High School and taken into custody.<\/p>\n
The LMPD Robbery Unit is investigating the case.
