wp-image-922\" \/><br \/>\nKentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision that happened on Interstate 24 just after 3 a.m. Saturday.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The preliminary investigation showed that 57-year-old Clifton Spencer of Columbia, North Carolina, was driving a tractor-trailer westbound on I-24 near the 91 mile marker.<\/p>\n<p>A car driven by 26-year-old Donald Matthews of Tacoma, Washington, approached Spencer&#8217;s truck at a high rate of speed, striking it in the rear.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew&#8217;s car was caught underneath the trailer, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner.<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Christian County EMS, Christian County Fire and Rescue, the Christian County Coroner&#8217;s Office.<br
