Police in Harrison County, Indiana is working to turn up the pressure on drug dealers. Harrison County Sheriff’s deputies took park in Operation Heat Tuesday morning, targeting a couple dozen people.<\/p>\n
Chief Deputy Daran Hodges said twenty-four people were targeted in unrelated cases; seventeen were arrested for selling heroin, meth and prescription pills. Operation Heat is the latest success of a four-year effort to clean the county of drugs.<\/p>\n
Hodges said that the deputies are going to continue to pursue others on the list until they are found. Hodges said many of these investigations started because of tips called in by people who live in Harrison County. He promised to investigate all the tips the Sheriff’s Department receives.<\/p>\n
