A &#8220;career ladder&#8221; will increase pay for workers moving up in their area of expertise, and creates categories within certain areas enabling workers to seek higher classifications for higher pay.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first major pay raise for state social service workers since 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Entry-level workers who start at $32,042 a year will get an increase of about $1,600 a year. Supervisors who start at $38,770 a year will get $2,030 more.
