Last year families were waiting to get into the fair for hours after difficulties with ticket scanners. Gate staff had to hold the scanners at a certain angle to read the ticket, which caused big delays. Now, the fair has updated its technology with brand new two-dimensional code readers.<\/p>\n
Fair organizers are also reminding drivers to use Gate 4 off of Crittenden Drive and Gate 6 off of Preston Highway, where there is less traffic.<\/p>\n
The Louisville Metro Police Department has partnered with Google Maps to display gate entrances when you search for the fair on Google Maps.<\/p>\n
One of the fastest ways to get through the line is by buying advanced tickets, which will help save money and seconds. It only takes about 6 to 8 seconds if you have advanced tickets, it’s 25 if you don’t have advanced tickets so with 10,000 thousand people and time becomes an issue.<\/p>\n
