\nAn Elizabethtown man was arrested late Saturday night by Elizabethtown police and charged with first-degree assault and third-degree terroristic threatening.<\/p>\n

According to an arrest citation, Elizabethtown Police Department officers responded to a Nicholas Street residence on a report of a man being wounded by a firearm. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a man who said he had been shot in the foot by Joe Jackson.<\/p>\n

Officers questioned 51 year-old Jackson, who said the other man had become \u201caggressive.\u201d Jackson said he went to his truck, retrieved a shotgun and fired the weapon at the man\u2019s right foot while the man stood in the doorway of the residence.<\/p>\n

As police investigated the scene, officers noticed a strong smell of marijuana in Jackson\u2019s truck. A child\u2019s cup was found in the truck containing marijuana, according to the citation.<\/p>\n

When officers questioned Jackson about the marijuana, he responded with, \u201cAfter I get out, I am going to get ahold of you and wreck your world,\u201d according to the citation.<\/p>\n

Jackson is being held in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond in Hardin County Detention Center. He is scheduled for video arraignment at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
