According to McDaniels Fire Chief David Poole, the fire occurred in a 7 acre hay field, owned by Ricky Cannon, off Morton Brown Lane, in Brown\u2019s Hide-Away. The fire damaged a tractor, and burned a couple of round bales of hay, as well as hay that had been raked into windrows.<\/p>\n
The fire may have been started by sparks from the hay rake.<\/p>\n
There were no injuries and no structures were involved.<\/p>\n
Firefighters were on scene for about 2 hours.
