The Muldraugh City Council met during a special called meeting Monday evening for the purpose of setting the tax rates for the upcoming year.
With all council members present except Councilman Cory Dresel, the council unanimously approved the second reading of an ordinance which sets the tax rate for real property at .1810 cents per $100 of assessed value; .2262 cents per $100 of assessed value for personal property; and 15.302 cents per $100 of assessed value for motor vehicles.
The rates a calculated upon the allowed two percent compensating rate allowed by the state.
