A lunch time accident Wednesday resulted in three people being taken to the hospital.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 11:30 am in the 4200 block of Brandenburg Road when two vehicles collided. Among the victims, a 76 year-old male was treated at the scene and then airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital by Air Methods Air Ambulance.
Two other people were taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown by Meade County EMS for their injuries. The Meade County Sheriff Department was assisted at the scene by the Brandenburg Police Department and the Meade County Fire Department.
