Election Day has arrived as a number of high profile state races including Governor, Attorney General, State Agriculture Commissioner, State Auditor, Secretary of State, and State Treasurer plus a local special election.
Locally in Meade County, voters will be participating in a special election to decide a County Clerk. Voters will decide between Republican Judy Jordan and Democrat Regina Duncan. Both candidates have a long track work history as deputy county clerks. Jordan, was appointed as County Clerk in January after a couple of months of legal appeals surrounding former candidate and deputy county Clerk Susan Masterson, who was disqualified as a candidate after receiving the majority of votes for the position a year ago.
Duncan originally ran for the position a year ago against Masterson but lost the bit in the primary election.
WVIH.com will have live election coverage beginning just after 6 pm Tuesday (11/3) as the polls close and results begin to be tabulated. We have direct numbers from across Meade County as the results are counted, in addition to updated state returns as the votes are counted around the state.
