
Police in Meade County responded to recents accidents that snarled traffic and send one to the hospital.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, a accidnet happened responded to a non-injury accident around 10 am on Monday (11/9) in the 2000 block Payneville Road. A 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 70 year-old Joyce Manning of Paynevillewas traveling east on Kentucky 144 when she ran off of the shoulder of the road and over corrected.
The suv went across the road into a ditch and came back across the road, went over an embankment and came to a stop in a field. Manning was treated at the scene and then taken to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana by Meade County EMS for possible neck injuries.
A second accident happened just before 8 am Wednesday (11/11) along Jennings Knob Road. According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, a 2002 Chevrolet S10 driven by 17 year-old Cody Lee of Vine Grove was traveling north on Thompson Lane when it collided with a 2004 Ford driven by 51 year-old Donald Hilton of Vine Grove.
Lee told the investigating officer that his windows were fogged over and he cut the curve to short. Hilton stated to the officer that Lee was in his lane as he entered the curve. Both drivers didn’t require medical attention.
