Members of the Ekron City Commission met during a briefly during their regular monthly meeting Tuesday (3/1) evening.
Mayor Gwynne Ison and Commissioner Corey Trent were absent from the meeting. Commissioner Joyce McHolan was appointed to lead the meeting in Mayor Ison’s absence.
Commissioners approved the minutes of the February regular meeting along with the purchase of a new flag for the city park. They tabled any action on the repairs to the city tractor and setting the Spring cleanup day due to the absence of Commissioner Trent. The Spring Cleanup is expected to be at the end of April if schedules will allow.
Commissioner Rob Wilkins said that he would look at the possibility of tree removal and the need for a street light along McCoy and West Alley Streets.
