A Radcliff man was indicted by a Hardin County Grand Jury on six felony charges related to a sexual assault at Saint John home in January.
Charles Lamont Wooten, 44, was indicted on one count of first-degree rape; two counts of first-degree attempted rape; second-degree assault — domestic violence; first-degree unlawful imprisonment and intimidating a participant in the legal process. He could face more than 20 years in prison, if convicted of all charges.
According to police, the incident happened on January 12 at a home where they found a woman with marks on her neck, a large mark on her forehead where she was struck by an object and a mark on her back. the victim told Hardin County Sheriff Deputies that Wooten Choked her causing her to lose consciousness. She said Wooten tried to forcibly have intercourse three times during the attack and reportedly succeeded once.
Wooten is being held at the Hardin County Detention Center in lieu of a $100,000 cash bond.
