A Hardinsburg man is facing four counts of attempted murder after an argument with his ex-girlfriend over the weekend.
According to Elizabethtown Police, 22-year-old Johnny Raymer of Hardinsburg, was upset with his ex-girlfriend Saturday, went to an apartment on Speingfield Road in Elizabethtown just before 8 pm. Police say Raymer knew that his ex-girlfriend along with up to three others were inside the apartment.
Raymer tried to use a key to get inside, but his ex-girlfriend was on the other side of the door, and told him that they had changed the lock. According to police, that’s when Raymer fired seven rounds into the door.
He was arrested a short time later and charged with four counts of attempted murder. He is currently being held in the Hardin County Detention Center.
