Kobe Steel announced 105 new jobs and $46.7 million in capital investment in Bowling Green.
The new facility will be built in Bowling Green in the South Central Kentucky Industrial Park. It’s for an aluminum/casting line, extrusion line and two bumper fabrication lines. The fabrication operations are planed start in 2017 and the others in 2018.
Business officials say the new line is being driven by the demand for aluminum bumper reinforcements for lightweight vehicles.
