The Ekron City Commission worked through business during their regular monthly meeting Tuesday (6/7) evening.
Commissioner Corey Trent reported that he is working on filling potholes along the city streets. Commissioners discussed the possibility of seeking the help from the County Road Department to possibly chip seal some of the problem streets. Mayor Gwynn Ison asked Fifth District Magistrate Steve Wardrip, who was in attendance at the meeting if that could be done through the interlocal agreement.
Commissioners approved the proposed 2016-17 city budget which totals $44,000. Mayor Ison said told the commission Crop Production Services has requested a meeting with city leaders to discuss drainage improvements on their property.
Commissioners Kevin Bogard and Rob Wilkins are absent at Tuesday’s meeting. You can listen to the regular meeting of the Ekron City Commission in our “On Demand” section.
