
The Muldraugh City Council met during a special meeting Monday (6/27) evening for the purpose to the approved the second readings of budget ordinances.
All council members present, except Councilmen Corey Dresel and Curtis Kelley, the quorum unanimously approved the second reading of budget amendment for the current fiscal year. As Mayor Joseph Noon asked for a motion to the second reading of the proposed 2016-17 fiscal year budget, all council members made no hint of entertaining action on the ordinance. After several moments of silence, Councilman Robert Mattingly asked Mayor Noon if Councilman Dresel had provided him a reason for his absence. Mayor Noon replied that he had not talked to Councilman Dresel.
Mayor Noon asked a second time for a motion for the second reading of the budget ordinance, Councilman Russell Cowins commented that he couldn’t vote for the motion due to the city maintenance trucks had not been properly lettered. At that time, Mayor Noon adjourned the meeting.
The next regular monthly meeting of the Muldraugh City Council is scheduled for Monday, July 11 at 6:30 pm.
