Over a year’s worth of political rhetoric and promises of many campaigns will be tested as the 2016 General Day has arrived. Voters will be able to cast their ballot for candidates that they want to lead the class of government leaders in federal, state, and local races.
In Meade County, races on the ballot will include: 27th District State Representative; 5th District Senate; 3rd District Constable; 1st, 4th, and 5th School Board of Education seats; and the non-partisan races for Brandenburg and Muldraugh City Councils and Ekron City Commission. Also the ballot will include the US Presidential, US Senate, and 2nd District Congressional races.
Voters will find both the E-scan and E-slate voting machines in each of the 18 voting precincts around the county. Meade County Clerk Judy Jordan says that her office will be open to handle only election related business only. Voting precincts will be open from 6 am until 6 pm on Tuesday (11/8). If you are in line at 6 pm you will be allowed to vote.
