Police are searching for a jail inmate they say walked away from a work detail in Breckinridge County.
Police asked for the public’s help in finding 36 year-old Gregory McCrary of Leitchfield. Breckinridge County Jailer Tara Shrewsberry said McCrary disappeared from a work detail at in Custer about 7:30 am CDT Wednesday (7/19).
Shrewsberry said McCrary is described as 6 feet tall, weighs 230 pounds and has tattoos and facial hair. McCrary is serving a five-year sentence after a 2016 conviction in Breckinridge County for receiving stolen property and a parole violation. One of McCrary’s aliases is “Honey boo boo”.
Police ask anyone with any information on McCrary’s whereabouts to call Kentucky State Police or the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department.
