Police arrested two men on Friday (7/21) wanted for a string of church break-ins in Indiana and Kentucky.
Police arrested 22-year-old Zach Weaver at the bus station in Louisville on Friday (7/21), trying to get on a bus headed out of state. Detectives say they arrested 24 year-old Matthew Wright at a lake in Meade County, where he was found hiding under a pontoon boat.
The two are accused of breaking into five churches in Harrison County, Indiana, and two churches in Meade County. The two were caught on surveillance video at Ekron Baptist Church breaking in and throwing the safe from a second story window Thursday (7/20) morning.
Police credit sharing the surveillance images on social media was crucial in solving the case. Both Weaver is lodged in Louisville Metro Corrections while Wright is lodged in the Meade County Detention Center facing several charges in both Kentucky and Indiana.
