In a special called meeting on Wednesday (8/2) morning, Grayson County Fiscal Court selected a Temporary County Judge-Executive to replace Gary Logsdon, who resigned on Monday (7/31).
In a meeting led by County Attorney Clay Ratley, Magistrate Jason Dennis was unanimously chosen to serve, at most, the 28 days until Governor Matt Bevin picks a permanent replacement who will serve out the remainder of Logsdonās term, which ends on December 31, 2018. Governor Bevin has 30 days from Monday to select a permanent replacement.
Magistrate Presto Gary nominated Dennis, with Magistrate Harold Johnson seconding the nomination.
